ITS about me

Hi, welcome to me.

First, I'll tell you a little bit about my life so you know I'm not a robot (if you're interested, keep reading).

I am from a small town in Connecticut, and moved just outside of Boston after needing a post-pandemic change of scenery (iykyk). Here, I started work at a fancy in-person gym and was lucky enough to meet my best friend, now boyfriend, on his first day of work a few weeks later. We met in an elevator at 7am on a Sunday morning, before I had any coffee, and was not the friendliest gal to say the least. We later realized we had already met about 4 years earlier, in a bar in our colleges' city. How rom-com of us. Three years later, we are creating the best life together with our rescue house hippo, Zeus. Someday soon(ish), we plan on moving somewhere with a lot of land to raise chickens and mini donkeys. We take our healthy lifestyle + fitness seriously, but I’d be lying if I told you we’ve never chosen unlimited sushi and pushed the scheduled workout to tomorrow.

A rundown about my fitness past— I grew up an athlete playing softball and volleyball through college. I know exactly what it’s like to have the all-or-nothing mindset with exercise, to restrict food groups just to overindulge, to have gut health problems, to scroll endlessly through random Google searches about every and any health topic and be left more uncertain than I started, to not love what I look like in photos although, no, I have never been overweight, and to hide in the corner of a gym so less people could watch me. I know what it feels like to come out the other side—where I have built a sustainable routine in the gym and in the kitchen without burnout and without guilt, I have built a body I am confident in (+ a mind that allows me to be confident without picking out flaws daily), and I am proud to take up space in the gym.

I received Bachelor’s + Master’s Degrees in Exercise Science, where I also studied Sport Psychology. I have my certifications in personal training, nutrition, and pregnancy/postpartum training. I have worked in rehab settings, with youth, high school and collegiate athletes, in group fitness classes, with pregnant + postpartum women, and with general fitness population. My passion is empowering women of all ages to get strong, to not be afraid of lifting weights and eating food, to not attach her worth to the scale, to feel confident in her body, and to reach every goal she once thought impossible. I have combined my personal experience + my education to create a system that will do just that.

XO Samantha
